louisa pearson.

After the birth of their oldest son, the Pearsons held out hope for a daughter the second time around. When another boy came along instead. Louisa's mother, Angela swore up and down that she had no expectations whatsoever and wouldn't be upset in the least if they had another boy upon finding out she was about to have her third and final child. It was a bold faced lie. The birth of Louisa was largely celebrated, and not only because the Pearsons had finally gotten their girl. Angela and Rick knew that three children was their limit and that once the midnight feeding and diaper change stages were over, they'd never have to deal with them again.

Though her two older brothers were bummed to have a sister they were certain they'd have nothing in common with, their dismay didn't last long. From the time she could walk, Lou as she would pretty much immediately prefer to be called did her best to tag along and be included in everything they did. Though her parents briefly wondered if she was feigning interest in what the boys liked so they'd allow her to stick around, Lou's tomboy nature would stick with her for the rest of her life. As she grew older, simply playing sports with her brothers just wasn't enough. Lou didn't just wanted to play. She wanted to play to win and though she was undoubtedly the most reserved member of the Pearson family under any other circumstances, Lou was a terror when she didn't.

When high school rolled around, she played on a number of teams, though maintaining the grades to be able to stay on them proved to be a bit of a struggle for a girl who was never very bookish or fond of sitting still for long. After being granted a soccer scholarship in New York, Lou was sure her dream of playing professionally once school was over were sure to come true, but a knee injury shortly before graduation meant that she had to fall back on what she had studied in the first place: physical education.

It was a fallback and though she was undoubtedly disappointed that she was now going to have to actually use her degree, she soon landed a job at an elementary school. Never very fond of small children, it was a job she hated, but it brought in a paycheck to keep her and her cat afloat. Everything changed when her mother called to tell her that her father had a heart attack five years ago. Though Rick recovered quickly, Lou wasted no time in packing up her things and moving back home. Always closer to her father than anyone else, his health scare rattled her more than she's ever let on to her family. When asked about her move back, she often replies that she just wasn't happy with her work situation in New York, something that isn't entirely untrue. She settled back into Boston seamlessly, finding her first real, steady girlfriend shortly after the move. Though the pair have since broken up, they still share their apartment an arrangement that for the most part, suits them both. Though still not entirely thrilled with her career, Lou is somewhat content now that she's teaching PE at a high school level and channels any of her stress into derby. She just wishes she could be her alter ego, Princess Slaya in her day to day life.
